WordPress Gallery, But Better
So the default WordPress gallery sucks. That’s where Showcase comes in. Showcase aims to redefine the “gallery” in WordPress. Showcase makes the whole process of uploading, ordering and editing your images as simple as it can be. Then it makes your gallery look stunning by automatically showing your gallery in a beautiful lightbox slideshow.
Showcase is designed to be beautiful out of the box. Showcase makes use of the stunning jQuery Colorbox plugin for it’s lightbox slideshow. Choosing a lightbox theme can be done from the settings page, or if you know a bit of CSS then you can make your own. All HTML output is valid as well and easy to style.
Easy to Use
Showcase really couldn’t be any simpler to use. Uploading files is dead simple, no messing about with the WordPress media uploader here. Drag & drop re-ordering is as intuitive as it gets, and adding captions, links and alt tags to your images is done with ease. Not to mention 500px, Flickr and Instagram integration built in.
Flexible & Robust
Showcase is both powerful and flexible at the same time. Create unlimited galleries, each with unlimited images, without ever leaving WordPress or touching code. Then simply copy and paste the shortcode to your posts and pages and wham, there is your gallery.
Media Manager Plus Integration
Sometimes you don’t want to upload images manually, you would rather pull them from your favorite image service. Showcase integrates with our free Media Manager Plus WordPress plugin so you can automatically pull your latest mug shots from Instagram, get images from Flickr tagged “beach”, see your friends latest 500px shots, etc. You get the idea.
