Hi, I'm building out a website using your super-fabulous plugin, however I'm encountering a small problem with the nav slider buttons: there is an extra button being added to my slideshow so for example if I have 6 images, it adds a 7th button to the tail-end of the set, why is this happening?! I can't seem to figure out a workaround. Here's the URL of the slider:

http://ala.blue22.net/wp/

The slider is incorporated into a WordPress theme and the webpage above is the homepage where the slider will be featured. Any insights would be greatly appreciated, many sincere thanks in advance.

And again, great stuff with this plugin, cheers!

Gilbert, please delete my last comments, thanks!

I've added this to a page template in wordpress. It was loading perfectly until I realized that I'd installed it incorrectly, adding custom scripts BEFORE the wp-head tag. (jquery plugins break the slider in this order)

When I corrected the tag order I get a lag in load time. It loads the header and content first, then the slider pops up seemingly out of nowhere. Its driving me batty. If the server has any delay at all, its really noticeable.

Heres what I have right now...
header.php

then the header code

---

I only want the slider to load on one page, to use 5 posts from the featured category, then show the page content after.
So i put this in a page-template.php:

$(window).load(function() {
    $('#slider').nivoSlider({
        animSpeed:500, //Slide transition speed
		pauseTime:5000
    });
});

	   have_posts()) : $my_query->the_post(); ?>

then the loop.

---

i moved my other javascripts to the footer so nivo would take priority.

I've tested loading jquery and the nivo script in many ways and added a compression plugin, but I still get that lag.

So my question is... is there any way to FORCE jquery to load first on the page or at least prior to the wordpress content???

Thanks so much!

I have wrapped your slider in a GWT (Google Web Toolkit) widget. I like the simplicity of your slider but it has some issues (I think).

1. Doesn't handle images of different sizes.
2. Doesn't scale images when they are higher/wider than the DIV they are wrapped in.
3. Doesn't centre an image when it is narrower than the DIV it is wrapped in.

Do you have plans to fix these deficiences?

Hello,

I've adding the Nivo to wordpress using a custom post type. Works great, however, when I add it to a page for example: page.php it no longer displays the pages content, but rather all the slide titles in a blog layout. As if they are all blog posts?

Any thoughts or advice?

Thanks!

Hi all. :) Love the slider, got it working, minus the thumbnails. Spent the last hour trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I'm stuck.

I followed the thumbnails instructions, tried both methods, still have the bullets.

Here's my relevant code:

controlNavThumbs:true, //Use thumbnails for Control Nav
			controlNavThumbsFromRel:true, //Use image rel for thumbs

controlNavThumbsSearch: '.jpg', //Replace this with...

controlNavThumbsReplace: '_thumb.jpg', //...this in thumb Image src

Can someone help? I'd really, really appreciate it. :)

I need to put the images in a wordpress page rather than hard coding it in html as i'm building the site for someone and want them to have the ability to change/add the images themselves but worpress strips out the php code () needed,

is there any way around this?

Thanks

Hi,

The slide show is working but the images for next and back and the small icons under the image are not showing? I looked in the nivo-styles.css and did not see them. Also where do I change the speed and transition type?

Thank you, may the force be with you
